ASAP Rocky is taking his role as Ray-Ban’s creative director to the big screen, or at least a very stylish version of it.

On Thursday, the Harlem rapper dropped a new campaign for Ray-Ban’s Metal collection that pays direct homage to the 1998 cult classic film “Belly.” To make the tribute official, Rocky recruited hip-hop royalty Nas to recreate the legendary diner scene originally shared with the late DMX.
The commercial features Nas narrating as he walks into a Harlem diner to meet “Flacko,” bringing a personal connection to the shoot. “Man, I get a phone call from Flacko this evening,” Nas says in the campaign video. “He wants to meet in Harlem. Funny thing is, it’s the same restaurant where I last met with his pops before he passed. His pops was my dawg.”
The collection itself moves away from the chunky, oversized frames we’ve seen recently, focusing instead on sleek, brushed metal finishes. Priced between $202 and $249, the lineup features eight core styles that lean heavily into 1990s nostalgia with narrow proportions and clean lines. Rocky’s influence is all over the design, which emphasizes wire constructions and slim rectangular and oval shapes. The drop includes both sun and optical versions, with the sunglasses featuring classic brown and black lenses. For those looking for something more avant-garde, Rocky also introduced rimless models in gold finishes.
In addition to the main release, a special-edition ninth design is joining the lineup, a futuristic wraparound silhouette that will only be available at select Ray-Ban physical stores.
