Balenciaga announced on Thursday it has cut ties with Kanye West following his controversial comments.
“Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist,” said Kering, the fashion house’s parent company.
The French fashion house has been distancing itself from the artist since he made an appearance on Drink Champs last week while continuing to make anti-Semitic comments and also falsely claiming that George Floyd died from an overdose instead of being murdered.
Earlier this week, Balenciaga said Kanye’s runaway look from its Spring 2023 Paris fashion week show had been removed from the Vogue Runway and the company’s website.
The fashion house has also removed the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collaborations from their website.
