Baller Alert’s Today in Hip-Hop: Fat Joe Released ‘Jealous Ones Still Envy 2 (J.O.S.E. 2)’

Eight years ago today, rapper Fat Joe released his ninth studio album, ‘Jealous Ones Still Envy 2 (J.O.S.E. 2).’

 

The album is the sequel to the Bronx native’s platinum-selling album ‘Jealous Ones Still Envy’ (2001).

 

Featuring production from heavy hitters like Rico Love and The Inkredibles, with appearances from Lil Wayne, Lil’ Kim, and T-Pain, the album was a solid body of work with infectious beats.

 

The album received 4 out of 5 stars from Billboard and placed at No. 73 on the Billboard 200 charts. Two of the singles from the album were “One” featuring Akon and “Aloha” featuring Pleasure P and Rico Love.
