Baller to Broke: Damon Dash Can’t Afford Child Support Payments

Is Damon Dash a deadbeat dad? Well that’s what his former girlfriend and baby mother Linda Williams says. Linda is the mother of 19 year old Damon Dash Jr. and she wants for her son to go to college and not fall in with a bad crowd. Unfortunately, she doesn’t think that’s going to happen with Dash Sr. She says that Damon has not been paying his court ordered $425 a week and had his son turn down a $30,000 music scholarship to Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY.

“My son got into Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY, on a $30,000 scholarship recently to do music, but his father did not want him to go even though it would not have cost him anything.

He keeps telling him ‘tell your mom to drop the child support case and get out of court’ when my son just wants to be a normal teenager and go to college. His father recently set him up with some DJ gigs in New York, and I’m worried that he falls in with a bad crowd and gets involved with drugs and alcohol.”

I can definitely see Linda being a bit concerned. At one point she was getting $3,766.67 and that was reduced to less than half. True, Dame ain’t balling like he used to be and he definitely aint doing the Dame Dash jig with Cristal bottles by the pool like he used to, but that’s no excuse to not pay for your kids, especially during this crucial time of COLLEGE. Child support isn’t the only reason one of my favorite ballers has gone broke though. Check this out via Radar Online:

Last year, two multi-million dollar lofts he owned in Manhattan, New York, went into foreclosure after he failed to make the $78, 500 per month payments on them.

According to the State of New Jersey’s Division of Taxation, Dash is currently the second biggest debtor to the state, owing $23,073,227.56 in back taxes to New York and New Jersey.

But Linda Williams doesn’t believe claims that Dash Sr. is totally broke.

Well I know for a fact that Dame isn’t TOTALLY broke. Definitely not balling, but hardly broke. Well, let me take that back, as long as he doesn’t pay his debt he’s not totally broke. But let’s face it, he owes waaaaay more than he’s making. Somebody get a financial advisor on Line 1 for ya boy!!
