Ralph Lauren is turning up the volume on celebrating Black culture with Polo Ralph Lauren for Oak Bluffs, a fresh, limited-edition capsule honoring the historic town of Oak Bluffs, located in Martha’s Vineyard. Known as a cultural haven for African American families for more than a century, the island town has long been a summer destination, rich with legacy, love, and generations of Black excellence.
This new collection brings together alumni from those schools to co-design collegiate-style classics that nod to Oak Bluffs’ legacy.
In true Ralph Lauren fashion, nautical staples anchor the line: from sport caps in crisp white, navy, and red to twill jackets embroidered with scenes from Oak Bluffs’ scenic harbor and Victorian landmarks. Classic, coastal, and deeply intentional.
Ralph Lauren himself framed the collection as more than clothing—it’s a homage to the pursuit of the American dream. Oak Bluffs, he says, embodies a sense of freedom and belonging that resonates with what we all seek.
To bring the story to life, author and director Cole Brown helms a campaign shot on Martha’s Vineyard. His short documentary, A Portrait of the American Dream: Oak Bluffs, pays tribute to the place’s role in Black summer history and premieres at the 2025 Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival in August.
Right now, the Polo Ralph Lauren for Oak Bluffs drop is available worldwide—for anyone ready to wear a slice of HBCU heritage and coastal escape history.
