Ballerific Relationships: It Literally Is What It Is by: @milagreee

A common mistake we make as women is thinking we have the capability or the “swooning power” of turning a piece of sh*t man into our very own Prince Charming.
Stop. Sorry, Princess.

You’ve heard it, We’ve said it.. ” I like him.. He’s always late though, but whatever. We can change that later”

No.. You can’t. Stop wasting time and energy on someone who doesn’t respect you enough to be on time. Being late is seen as disrespectful bc the person who is late, has no regards for your time. That being said.. Wait for the one who’s 5 minutes early, waiting for you outside of the car with the passenger door open. (chivalry is not dead I’ll have you know. )

When trying to change someone.. The only person you’re fooling is you. Your vag might be awesome and all and your smile might make some melt but when it comes to men.. Most times.. What you see is what you get.

The only person capable of changing a man is he himself.
Men meet women and know if she is the woman that they want. They see you for who you are- flaws and all and they either choose to accept that or they keep it moving.
They don’t complicate things by thinking “I don’t like her work ethic, she’s lazy but that can change. I’ll be with her and then maybe later I’ll convince her to stop being lazy. “

Men don’t settle, why should you?

I’m not saying that a man won’t change if you ask him to but .. That’s on him and beyond our control.
As women, We need to learn to KEEP our standards and our values.
We need to realize we aren’t in middle school anymore and him being “cute” isn’t going to cut it anymore.

If you want a man who is career driven and you can’t compromise on that.. Than the answer is simple, don’t.

If you don’t like his teeth and THATS a deal breaker, bye.

Whatever your standards are, whatever your value system is, keep it.

There’s always someone willing to go to the moon and back for you. Patience.
