Bengals’ A.J. Green Out for Playoff Game vs Colts – blogged by: @CoolWithA_K

Earlier today the Cincinnati Bengals announced star receiver, AJ Green will not be playing Sunday versus the Indianapolis Colts.

Green, who had suffered a concussion during Week 17 briefly practice for most of the week, completely missing Friday’s practice. Mohamed Sanu will replace Green this week which may mean trouble against the Indianapolis team. He has had “fewer than 30 receiving yards in the last seven out of eight games,” reports Around the NFL writer, Kevin Patra. Sanu also had no touchdowns in the last six games of the regular season. During Green’s last absence, the Bengals were blown out losing 27-0 against none other than…the Colts.

This means the Bengals will need to rely on their running game which means becoming, almost solely, dependent on rookie running back, Jeremy Hill. Hill has been a huge benefit to the team and is leading the NFL in rushing yards.

There has been no word on Green’s expected recovery time.
