‘Black Ink Crew’ Star Says She Was Slipped A Date Rape Drug On Set

It’s always a sensitive subject when someone says they were raped or slipped a date rape drug. In this case, it’s extremely hard to choose sides. Alex Estevez, (former) star of VH1’s Black Ink Crew reality show, is suing producers and saying they made her look like a slut.

The story begins with the infamous “Mixxy” party episode last year. This episode immediately determines Alex’s role in the cast. We first meet Alex as the tattoo shop’s receptionist that sometimes makes bad choices. In the “Mixxy” episode we see Alex seemingly get sloppy drunk and attempt to sleep with her boss Caesar, whom her friend & co-worker Dutchess had already taken interest in. Dutchess finds out about it and blows a fuse, attempting to beat the breaks off of Alex that very minute. The entire thing is caught on tape and great for ratings I’m sure.

Alex alleges that the drink she was handed at the party was roofied. She says since then producers have edited the show to make her look like a slut. This is where it gets sticky. Alex has definitely appeared to be a slut on the show for the entire 2 seasons she remained there. She slept with another co-worker who (to her face) told her that she was a jump off, and in other episodes she’s come off drunk, belligerent and completely irresponsible. Was she roofied al those times too? Alex has since left the show following an episode where she was fired from Puma’s tattoo shop.

Fellow Black Ink star Caesar says he isn’t buying what Alex is selling, claiming she wasn’t roofied at all and a “slut” is jut what she is. He tells TMZ, “Ain’t no one give her s**t. She was drunk off Henny. You can see from her behavior no one gave her any drugs, or tried to make her anything she’s not.” He adds, “You don’t have to give a slut drugs to do what she naturally does.”

Since Caesar’s comments became public, Alex has taken to social media once again to voice her side. On her instagram Alex wrote, “I don’t even know where to begin… Welcome to the living hell I been liven in for the past year. The girls that were roofed will never ever be the same! I wasn’t the only one and I will continue to fight for justice! It’s sad how cast members act oblivious all for what? 2 to 4 G’s? That’s how much my life and all the good I did is worth to you? There’s a special place in hell for you all who don’t speak up. Just know if it happened on set to me it can happen to you too! Please help me bring awareness to this situation & let these abusers know we are not staying quiet, Thank you!”

Again, here are where things get sticky, if the cast does not believe Alex was drugged, will they put their paychecks on the line for her? Especially since this is not something she reported when it happened. She remained on the show to not only complete THAT season but finish another season after. Could this be an attempt to get some money? You can’t sue over the way a show was edited to supposedly make you look and unfortunately, for it to be edited you had to be doing it.
