The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) is turning the volume up on career equity in the music industry. In partnership with Live Nation, BMAC just announced the return of its LIVE Accelerator Program, offering 20 emerging Black music professionals an all-expenses-paid, week-long deep dive into the live entertainment business.
Applications are officially open from May 5 through May 16, 2025. Those selected will be notified by June 20, and the immersive experience will go down July 14–18 in Los Angeles.
Powered by Live Nation’s School of Live, the program opens doors that many young creatives simply don’t have access to. From artist relations and show production to booking, marketing, ticketing, and budgeting, participants get direct hands-on training with the people who move the live music business forward every day.
What makes this opportunity different? Upon completing the program, participants are eligible to apply for paid, part-time internships at Live Nation—roles created specifically for the 2025 BMAC cohort. That means this isn’t just a workshop, it’s a pipeline.
“We’re incredibly proud of the success of the inaugural BMAC LIVE Accelerator Program,” said Willie “Prophet” Stiggers, BMAC Co-founder, President & CEO. “Through our partnership with Live Nation, we’re building a career-shaping experience for young people who might not otherwise have access to this industry.”
Omar Al-joulani, Co-President of Live Nation Concerts, added, “After seeing the impact last year’s program had on the participants, we’re excited to build on that momentum with an even stronger experience in year two.”
This is far from BMAC’s only initiative in the space. Their growing list of equity-driven projects includes the Music Business Accelerator Program at Tennessee State University, the Guaranteed Income and Mentorship Program with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and a direct aid fund for victims of the 2025 LA Wildfires. They’ve also teamed with names like Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Victoria Monét, and the Luther Vandross Foundation to support emerging talent through Music Maker Grants.
With real mentorship, networking, and on-the-ground training, the BMAC LIVE Accelerator Program isn’t about just getting in the room—it’s about owning your seat at the table.
