Bobby Shmurda Suggests Meek Mill’s Exit from Label Sparked Gay Rumors [Video]

Rapper Bobby Shmurda recently defended Meek Mill amid swirling rumors regarding the rapper’s sexuality.

During a chat with “The Danza Project,” the New York rapper theorized that such comments stem from Meek walking away from a record label.  According to Shmurda, they were both connected to the same “team,” and after leaving, the individuals at the top started the rumors and put them on the internet.

“You leave that team, they come for you,” Shmurda stated, later explaining that departing from record labels is similar to leaving a relationship where the woman has a “lot of power.”

The chatter surrounding Meek’s sexuality gained traction in the wake of Diddy’s legal drama.  Some believe that Meek is connected to the mogul’s sexual assault scandal, a claim the Philly rapper has vehemently denied. The speculation intensified when Meek was mentioned in one of the lawsuits that claimed he had engaged in sexual activities with Diddy.  Meek has expressed his frustration about how the rumors are affecting his personal life, even offering up to $100,000 for concrete proof of his involvement in any illicit activities with the Bad Boy mogul.

Shmurda shared that he was also a victim of gay rumors after separating from the label, which he also denied. Though he expects the corporations to play shady games, Shmurda voiced disappointment in those who believe the false reports and continue to push them.
