Fox News host Brian Kilmeade is doing damage control after facing backlash for suggesting “Involuntary lethal injections” when discussing homeless individuals.

The moment happened during a segment with co-host Lawrence Jones, where they were covering the murder of Iryna Zarutska in Charlotte, North Carolina. Police say she was killed by a homeless man with a history of mental health issues, sparking debate on how society should handle repeat violent offenders.

While discussing possible solutions, Kilmeade went too far. “I wrongly said they should get lethal injections,” he admitted. He later apologized, calling the remark “extremely callous” and clarifying that not all unhoused people should be painted with the same brush.

Kilmeade also acknowledged that many experiencing homelessness deserve empathy, resources, and compassion, not punishment.
