Brittany Murphy’s Half-Brother Believes She Was Murdered

December 20th marked the 10th anniversary of the passing of “Clueless” actress Brittany Murphy, which led her half brother to speak out about his belief that his sister was killed.

According to the Daily Mail, the primary cause of her death was listed as pneumonia and drug intoxication, but Murphy’s half-brother, Tony Bertolotti, believes her husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack may have been inadvertently responsible for her passing.

“If you look at it from a distance, it’s like, here’s this young lady — a fairly healthy girl — she’s home with her supposed husband and mother, and she died,” Bertolotti told the Daily Mail. “How absurd is it? It’s only in Hollywood that it’s considered another day at the zoo. No one takes her to a hospital, which is just four miles away.”

Bertolotti believes his late brothers-in-law may have had something to do with Murphy’s death, due to his “six-figure bank and business debt.”

Murphy’s husband passed away just five months after her death and under a similar cloud of mysterious questions.

“I don’t know what business decisions they were making at that time, but it [their deaths] sounds business-related to me,” Tony asserted. “I’ve heard all sorts of crap, so what is true? I don’t believe the drugs line that much, I don’t buy it. I’m sure there was experimentation. But Brittany was conservative with that stuff, she was a bright girl.”

Murphy’s brother steadfastly believes someone has profited from her death, and that person may be the culprit.
