Bronx Woman Kills Childhood Friend, Cuts Baby From Her Womb -blogged by @avah_taylor –

A 22-year-old #Bronx woman is accused of faking her pregnancy, killing her 8½-months-pregnant friend #AngelikqueSutton and carving her baby from her womb.

According to the #NewYork Post, #AshleighWade (left) lied to her boyfriend of six years, #AngelPraylow, friends and neighbors for months claiming that she was pregnant.

Praylow, who had no idea that Wade was faking her pregnancy, had even posted pictures of sonograms and baby clothes on Facebook in anticipation of becoming a father, telling one family member on Facebook that Wade’s due date was November 15.

The Post reports that a google search revealed that one of the ultrasound images turned out to be a copy of an image available on the Internet.

Wade is facing murder and manslaughter charges after she allegedly stabbed Sutton multiple times and cut her unborn baby girl from her body inside her (Wade’s) #MonticelloAvenue apartment.

She had reportedly known the victim, also 22, since they were kids and the two had recently reconnected. Police sources say the women had even shopped for baby items together.

Praylow, who is not considered a suspect, was the one who called police to the scene of the gruesome slaying, where the Post reports Sutton’s placenta and umbilical cord lay on the floor. Even after police arrived, Wade allegedly kept insisting that Sutton’s baby was hers.

He only learned of what Wade had done when she called him to confess that she had done something “very bad,”  and asked him to come to her apartment immediately.

The baby survived and is in stable condition at the #MontefioreHospital.

Sutton’s boyfriend and the father of her baby, #PatrickBradley, posted a picture of his baby girl on Facebook, who Sutton had already named Genasis.

Wade was taken into custody at the scene then to the #JacobiHospital for psychiatric evaluation. Authorities are said to be seeking a search warrant to determine whether Wade is actually pregnant.
