Cardi B had to get a few Nicki Minaj fans together online after they accused her of shading the rapper.
It all started when Belcalis shared a clip of Whitney Houston’s famous interview with Diane Sawyer. The video includes Houston looking at a photo presented to her by Sawyer, who was questioning Houston about her health and possible drug use. Houston handed her the image back and asked, “Do you really know?” Many believed Cardi was using the moment to send shots at her rival, though she quickly denied this.
One user wrote, “Oh now she wanna post Whitney memes,” which promoted a response from Cardi. She clapped back with a screenshot of her using the same Whitney reference back in 2021.
“You sure bout that?? Now go see if b***hes was posting this meme before that date,” Cardi wrote.
From here, another social media user weighed in with a lengthy response to Cardi defending her use of the Whitney clip.
“You wanna say her name so bad to stay relevant bc your career is a mess and your n***a was on his 29th side b***h while you were pregnant so you bookmark 6 am tweets to respond to later in hopes that people will remember you and go stream your 6 year old album since the next one isn’t coming, the fired-up Barb wrote, which only ticked Cardi off.
“B***h that beef so stale and dry and do nothing for me …..as fans stop harassing people over dumb s**t if y’all don’t want a f**kn respond ….yall all over my quotes over a meme that ain’t had s**t to do wit yall,” Cardi responded.

It’s likely Cardi was using the Whitney clip in response to Akademiks, who claimed she cheated on Offset with an NFL player and had nothing to do with Minaj at all.
