A heartbreaking funeral was held Monday for Celeste Rivas, the 14-year-old girl whose body was discovered inside the front trunk of a Tesla earlier this year. The service took place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Rowland Heights, where family and friends gathered to say goodbye.
The teenager’s remains were discovered last month in a car registered to singer D4vd, abandoned outside a rental home in the Hollywood Hills. The Tesla was later impounded, and her body was only found days later by workers at a tow yard.
Authorities say Rivas had been dead for several weeks before her remains were found. She was reported missing in early 2024 from her home in Lake Elsinore, California. Friends of D4vd reportedly believed she was 19.
Since the discovery, D4vd has withdrawn from the public eye. He canceled his tour, put his album plans on hold, and appears to have moved out of the Hollywood property. Police executed a search warrant at the location, but D4vd has not been seen or heard from publicly since.
As the investigation continues, Rivas’ loved ones were finally able to honor her life and mourn her loss, even as answers remain out of reach.
