Chick-fil-A is broadening its services as they have entered the streaming world.
On Monday, the fast food chain announced its upcoming “Chick-fil-A Play” app, offering “free digital fun” and a wide variety of kid-friendly content like shows, games, podcasts, interactive stories, video-based recipes, and more. The app is set to launch on November 18th and won’t be competing with other streaming apps like Hulu and Netflix. Instead, the Chick-fil-A Play app will deliver a fresh digital playground for families to “have fun, connect, and spend time together.”

“Hospitality and fun have always been at the core of the Chick-fil-A family experience, whether inside our restaurants and play areas or through our Kids Meals,” Dustin Britt, Chick-fil-A’s Executive Director of Brand Strategy, said. “The Chick-fil-A Play App is a digital extension of that experience and another way we’re reimagining ‘Play’ for our guests.”
Nonetheless, Chick-Fil-A Play will be available at no cost and with no hidden fees. In fact, the company shared with USA TODAY that they plan to add a price to their app in the future. This new addition highlights Chick-Fil-A’s effort to expand its family-friendly reputation instead of making an attempt at a money grab.
