Chris Brown’s Attorney Says No Guns or Drugs Were Found By LAPD

Chris Brown was arrested earlier this week for assault with a deadly weapon after a young woman alleged that the singer held a gun to her head and demanded she leave his home because she touched someone’s necklace. Previous reports by TMZ said that during the 7 hour SWAT standoff at Chris Brown’s home, someone threw a duffle bag out of the window. The alleged bag contained guns and drugs. Only one problem; according to Mark Geragos, Chris Brown’s attorney, not only did LAPD not find guns, Chris Brown’s accuser is totally fame hungry.

Geragos addressed the media Friday where he was adamant that there were no guns or drugs in Chris’ home. He also said that reports saying Royalty was in the home during the incident were totally untrue.

As far as the accuser’s credibility, Attorney Geragos says that comes into question.

“There was a statement given to the police that there was a piece of jewelry there, and apparently she described in great detail what this jewelry was. We examined the jewelry. The officers had me stand there and we filmed it as well. Nothing was found that corroborated her statement.”

Geragos also breaks down what exactly happened between Chris Brown and LAPD, saying it is incorrect to label it as a standoff.

“People have portrayed what happened with my client as a stand off with LAPD,” Geragos tells the media. “I’d like to debunk that. This was not a standoff. We were called in the morning, we were told that the LAPD was on the scene. I specifically asked if there was a search warrant or an arrest warrant. We were told there was not. I advised my client that he should not go outside and should wait for me to get there, and if they didn’t have a search warrant he was not going to consent to anything at this point.”

Geragos also says that there are active investigations on Baylee Curren on both the East and West Coast, and if they can prove she is lying on Chris Brown, they will be pressing criminal charges against her.
