On Wednesday night, Cliff Dixon, former basketball star and best friend of Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant, was shot and killed outside of his 32nd birthday party.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. outside the SL Lounge at the Little Saigon strip mall in Atlanta, Georgia.
Upon arrival, officials found Dixon, who was described as a man in his late twenties-early thirties, with multiple gunshot wounds to the head. He was then rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
Detectives said the gunman escaped on foot. However, investigators are hoping to use security footage to help identify the suspect.
