This weekend, rap duo Pusha T and No Malice stood in front of thousands at St. Peter’s Square and delivered a deeply personal performance of “The Birds Don’t Sing” with John Legend. The brothers brought bars and faith to the global stage for “Grace for the World,” the first-ever concert held at the Vatican.
The event was created to send a global message of peace, with Pharrell Williams stepping in as co-director and executive producer. Pharrell, who helped launch Clipse in the early 2000s, said the goal was simple: bring unity, light, and healing through music.
“This is a moment the world needed,” Pharrell said. “And Clipse being part of it made it even more powerful.”
The night also featured performances from Jennifer Hudson, Karol G, Jelly Roll, BamBam, Teddy Swims, and opera icon Andrea Bocelli. Between sets, drone and light shows lit up the skies over Vatican City with Sistine-inspired visuals that stunned the crowd.
The entire event streamed live on Hulu, Disney+, and ABC News Live, allowing fans worldwide to witness hip-hop enter one of the most sacred spaces on Earth.
