Instagram is known for displaying flawless and aesthetically pleasing photos from influencers and everyday photographers, but let’s not sleep on the content that keeps us laughing. Many modern-day comedians have launched lucrative careers showcasing their comedic talents using social media platforms, whether on Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok.

Thanks to today’s communication technology, humor is only a click away! After all, what would life be without laughter? Baller Alert rounded up some of the funniest influencers whose goal is to make sure we get sore from laughing too hard. Let’s get into it.

Druski is an internet comedian whose content steadily goes viral. Not only does he post comical skits where he reenacts real-life situations, but he also goes on Instagram live quite often to make jokes at other people’s expense. Sharing his personality on social media has gained him millions of followers, allowed him to host J. Cole’s tour, and has gotten him in rooms with people like Drake and Jack Harlow. He’s comical and goofy and definitely worthy of a follow.

Comedian Mel Mitchell has the internet talking about her “Black Teacher at _____” skits. The FAMU graduate creates scenarios from movies like Harry Potter and the Avengers to give her followers the Black perspective. Along with her Instagram skits, Melanie has taken stages doing standup comedy and hosting events. Her tweets constantly go viral for being relatable and funny. Melanie’s social media comes to mind when looking for a hilarious escape from reality.

Kervo Dolo – @kervo.dolo

Kervo has taken social media by storm with his infamous “Karen” impersonations and skits. The TikTok star gained 7.9 million followers on the app and is extremely active on Instagram, often posting funny photos and videos of himself pretending to be a white woman or parent from Haiti. Funny girl Mona also known as “Don’t Call Me White Girl,” keeps things one hundred on her social media. You may know her from her now-infamous line on TikTok, “Why You Being Weird To ME?” but our girl has been making moves since then. Her podcast on BreakBeat Media, DCMWG, is making waves with celebrity guests interviews that go viral, like her sit-down with Ari The Don and Sukihana. She discusses relatable everyday topics like love and relationships — the girl just gets it. Mona uses Instagram to share raw looks into her life while making her followers laugh.

Antonio Neville – @heytonytv

The 25-year-old comedian and influencer is absolutely hilarious and what’s so great about his comedy is that it is incredibly realistic. HeyTonyTV, whose real name is Antonio Neville, continues to go viral on social media with his comedy skits surrounding the high school experience. His social media pages are filled with videos depicting school leaders getting on the bus for a field trip, dropping in on cheerleading practice, or hosting an end-of-the-school-year event stemming from his experiences attending Rocky Mount High School. Christianee Porter, also known as The Christi Show, is an actress and comedian born into a family of entertainers, so it’s no surprise that she was blessed with the ability to entertain others. She offers comedy-filled skits through various characters, including a T.V. news reporter, a budding rapper, and a church mother. In 2017, Christi became a viral sensation after posting a video dressed as an older woman in a sleeveless orange short suit standing on the sidewalk outside a storefront. This video and many others have been seen more than a million times on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Comedic caricatures are in her D.N.A., and it shows!

Boris is a French Instagram prankster who films himself harassing London Underground passengers. The practical joker has amassed more than 2.2 million Instagram followers who watch him play pranks on unsuspecting public transport passengers and pedestrians. In several of his videos, Boris pretends to be blind and walks on a moving Tube carriage with a cane. He stumbles – prompting nearby passengers to jump up to help – before bursting into dance and revealing he is not disabled after all. If you’re a fan of the Impractical Joker’s show, Boris is basically the French version.

Vena Excell, better known professionally as Pretty Vee or Vena E, is a comedian, reality star, and actress known for her hilarious skits and funny dances. Thanks to her hilarious-themed social media content, she has gained over 5 million Insta followers. She rose through the ranks because of her knack for telling jokes and the comedic timing she displayed over the networking platforms. She finds joy in entertaining people, and they give her love back. Because of it, she landed a recurring role on Wild ‘n Out and continues to keep her followers entertained on tv and online.

 

Travis Thompson – @Travque

Social media funnyman Travis Thompson, better known by his nickname TravQue, is an Instagram personality widely known for posting comedic sketch videos and skits to his eponymous account. His content usually showcases him putting ridiculously large purchases on celebrity’s tabs at clubs or conducting practical jokes on pedestrians in major cities pretending to be “rastaman” from Jamaica.
