We here at Baller Alert were praying that the news of Heavy D’s passing is not true but according to tweets from a few in the industry, including Dream Hampton and DJ Premier, and also with further confirmation from TMZ, Dwight Arrington Myers, known to us all as Heavy D has passed away.
Heavy D was rushed to an LA hospital at noon today and was pronounced dead at 1pm. The cause of death is unknown. He was 44 years old. RIP Heavy D.
