Rapper Da Brat has reportedly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after finding herself sinking in over $7 Million in debt.
The Blast obtained court documents that allegedly confirm the news and break down of the debts owed by the SoSo Def veteran.
The majority of Da Brat’s dues stem from a $6.4 Million settlement owed to a former NFL cheerleader. Da Brat was found guilty of striking the woman, Shayla Stevens, with a glass bottle in 2007 at an Atlanta nightclub.
According to The Blast, Da Brat also owes 1,255,128 to Sony Music, $12,000 to Ally Bank, $2,284 in credit card debt, and $2,284 owed to the Georgia Department of Revenue.
The rapper turned radio host claims that she currently has assets only totaling $108,700.65. Those assets include three vehicles, house furniture, electronics, and even a treadmill.
