Did The Weeknd Fire Shots At Drake On His New Song, ‘Lost In The Fire’

On Thursday, The Weeknd released his second single, “Lost In The Fire,” from his second studio album, “Hyperion.” However, as fans looped the new single, which featured Gesaffelstein, many took to Twitter to speculate about an alleged shot at his Canadian peer, Drake.

“I just want a baby with the right one,” The Weekend sang, adding, “‘Cause I would never be the one to hide one.”

For many, the lyric seemed to be a direct shot at the “In My Feelings” rapper after news broke of Drake’s sexual relationship with French artist and former adult-film star, Sophie Brussaux, which produced the rapper’s first child, Adonis.

However, others were convinced The Weeknd said, “hurt” instead of “hide,” refuting the claim of shade, all together. In the meantime, fans also caught a few lines for Bella Hadid, the Weeknd’s longtime girlfriend.

In fact, a few lines even served as a confirmation for some – in regards to the alleged Drake shot, as the two were once rumored to be dating during Hadid’s split from The Weeknd.

“And we lost a lot of things in the fire/ So it took a year for me to find out,” he sang, referring to the year the two spent apart.
