Diddy Explains His Jennifer Lopez Throwback Photo: ‘That’s Just My Friend’

In a recent interview for Vanity Fair, Sean Combs made it clear that even though his daughters want him to settle down, don’t expect it to be with Jennifer Lopez.

The mogul posted a photo, captioned “#tbt,” with JLo shortly after her split from Alex Rodriguez. Of course, the flick set the internet ablaze. However, he’s making it known that the two are not revisiting their past.

“It wasn’t no trolling involved; that’s just my friend. And I don’t have nothing to say about her relationship or her life,” Diddy told Vanity Fair.

JLo and Diddy dated for about two years before ending the relationship back in 2001. Following their split, the two remained friendly over the years.

Combs made it clear that if he were going to settle down with anyone, it would have been with Kim Porter

“And so, you know, I had to start to deal with it when I lost Kim. ’Cause I was like, man, you had it. I’m not saying I would do any of it differently. God willing—I would have had more time,” he said. “I look at my life as I got a second chance. I’m on my second mountain.”

Porter was the mother to three of his children, Christian, 23, and twins Jessie James and D’Lila Star, 14. She passed away in 2018 from lobar pneumonia.
