“Diff’rent Strokes” star Todd Bridges caught a fist to the face recently after an attempt to lend a helping hand to a friend.
According to TMZ, the actor tried to help his wheelchair-bound neighbor evict a woman that had been living in the man’s San Fernando Valley home.
But things took a turn for the worse when Bridges got into a heated exchange with the woman’s boyfriend. One thing led to another, and the boyfriend knocked the star out.
The incident was caught on tape.
Since then, Bridges has opened up to TMZ about the incident. “No one likes to be sucker punched, but I am glad that I was there to help my neighbor, who was faced with a potentially dangerous situation.”
“Much rather it was me, and not my neighbor,” he said.
