According to TMZ, Disney is reportedly not making an exception for annual pass members during the coronavirus pandemic. Their most loyal customers will still have to pay a monthly fee despite the closures of Disney theme parks all over the world, including both US theme parks, Disneyland located in California, and Disney World located in Orlando, Florida.
Furthermore, annual pass holders aren’t currently given an option to cancel or get a refund at a time where people need it most. The only consideration that Disney is offering for annual pass holders is the dates the theme parks are closed will be added to the expiration date of the pass as an extension.
According to TMZ, regarding the annual passes, “As for the cost … a top-end annual pass at Disney World comes in at $1295 (before tax), and top-end at Disneyland is $1449 … or just over $105 per month after a downpayment of $179.”
