A woman in her 40s has died at Walt Disney World, marking the fourth guest death at the Florida destination in less than a month. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was transported to Celebration Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Authorities reported no signs of foul play.
The latest incident occurred at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, continuing a concerning pattern of fatalities across the resort complex. Just weeks earlier, a 31-year-old woman died by suicide at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. That tragedy was followed by the death of a man in his 60s, who suffered a medical episode at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Then, on October 23, 28-year-old Matthew Cohn died after jumping from a high floor of Bay Lake Tower, which is connected to the Contemporary Resort.
All four deaths have taken place at different resort properties within Walt Disney World. Investigators have not released the identity of the most recent victim, and the cause of death has not been confirmed publicly.
Disney has not yet issued a formal statement addressing the recent string of fatalities. While authorities have ruled out foul play in this most recent case, the frequency of these incidents has raised concerns among guests.
