Dolly Parton’s Dollywood Theme Park Now Offers Free Tuition To All Employees Starting Their First Day

Dolly Parton is out here doing good deeds again. The country music icon announced that Dollywood Parks & Resorts will now offer their employees a free ride to college.

On Tuesday, Dolly shared that her Tennessee-theme park will be covering 100 percent of their employees’ college tuition. The program will launch on February 24th and will also cover the cost of books and fees for the employees.  The educational benefit will be available for all employees starting on the day they’re hired.

“One of The Dollywood Foundation’s key tenets is to ‘learn more.’ This program is created with that very tenet in mind. We want our hosts to develop themselves through advanced learning. To fulfill the foundation’s other tenets: care more, dream more, and be more,” say Eugene Naughton, President of Dollywood Company.

Naughton continued, “When our hosts strive to grow themselves, it makes our business and our community a truly better place. We care about our hosts’ development and we want their future to grow because of love—not loans.”

Dollywood has a history of looking out for its workers. For every working shift, employees receive access to the Dollywood Family Healthcare Center and are provided free meals. Dollywood also pays for a portion of childcare costs for employees while they’re at work.
