Well, Donny’s right back at it with another wacky statement.
The Hilton International Ballroom housed another gathering of world religious leaders for the annual National Prayer Breakfast. Seeing as how it’s such an important event, the presence of the nation’s leader was sought. Donald Trump took his time to make a speech that was supposed to acknowledge the abolition of slavery. Unfortunately, Trump thought the great ”people of faith” abolished civil rights.
“Since the founding of our nation, many of our greatest strides—from gaining our independence to the abolition of civil rights, to extending the vote for women—have been led by people of faith and started in prayer. When we open our hearts to faith, we fill our hearts with love.”
It may have been an innocent mistake, but raise your hand if you’re surprised by the ironic error.
