Trump Reportedly Told Staff He’ll Declare Victory If It Looks Like He’s “Ahead” On Tuesday

Donald Trump is already gearing up to celebrate a victory, days before Election Day.

According to multiple sources, Trump has already informed his close associates that he will announce his victory over Democratic nominee Joe Biden on Tuesday night if he has a sizable lead.

He reportedly confided in several people about his plan to walk up to a podium on Nov. 3 and proclaim his victory. For Trump to declare triumph over Biden, he would have to have either won or possess a commanding lead in Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Iowa, Arizona, Georgia, and Ohio.

Trump and his team are also prepared to “falsely” claim that mail-in ballots counted after election night are proof of election fraud because it is expected to favor the Democratic party.

“[Trump] will be re-elected handily and no amount of post-election Democratic thievery will be able to change the results,” Jason Miller, Trump campaign senior adviser predicted.

Reports claim that Trump could appear ahead of Biden in Pennsylvania. However, the state’s outcome could change as mail-in ballots are counted over the next several days.

Trump’s team is gearing up to protest baselessly if the state’s vote doesn’t go their way, citing that Democrats would have “stolen” the election.

Although Election Day is on Nov.3, mail-in ballots counted afterward are “set forth in state-by-state rules” are as permitted as in-person votes documented on election day.

Many states won’t finish counting mail-in-ballots by Nov 2. For Pennsylvania, it could be days, even weeks before a winner is declared due to state laws that prevent election officials from counting mail-in ballots before Election Day.

Kathy Boockvar, Pennsylvania Secretary of State, told NBC’s “Meet the Press” that mail ballots could be 10 times higher this election than in 2016.

“Yes, it will take longer [to count],” she said. “I expect that the overwhelming majority of ballots in Pennsylvania, that’s mail-in and absentee ballots, as well as in-person ballots, will be counted within a matter of days.”
