Donald Trump’s Health Under Fire After Medical Expert Suggests Secret Stroke Months Ago

A fresh wave of questions around Donald Trump and his health is circulating after a prominent medical expert publicly suggested the 79-year-old may have suffered a stroke months ago that was never disclosed.

Professor Bruce Davidson of Washington State University’s Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine made the claim while outlining what he described as observable medical indicators during an appearance on the “Court of History” podcast. Davidson stressed that his assessment was based on publicly available video and behavioral patterns, not on a direct examination.

“I think his stroke was on the left side of the brain, which controls the right side of the body,” Davidson said.
“I think the stroke was six months ago or more, earlier in 2025,” he continued. “There are videos of him shuffling his feet, which is not what we’d seen previously when he was striding on the golf course. We’ve seen him holding his right hand cradled in his left. Earlier in 2025, he was garbling words, which he hadn’t done before and which he’s improved upon more recently.”

Davidson also pointed to what he called excessive daytime sleepiness, medically known as hypersomnolence, which he noted is common among stroke patients. He referenced footage of Trump appearing to nod off during public events and instances where Trump carefully descended Air Force One stairs while gripping the railing with his left hand, despite being right-handed.

While Davidson did not specify the type of stroke, he said that if his interpretation is accurate, “it looks like he’s had significant recovery.”

The White House forcefully rejected the claims. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump “remains in excellent overall health” and later added, “These allegations are absolute bulls**t and perhaps even slanderous.”

Trump has acknowledged managing multiple health issues in recent interviews, including leg swelling and frequent aspirin use, but no stroke diagnosis has been confirmed.
