DoorDash Driver Allegedly Caught Pepper Spraying Customer’s Arby’s Order on Camera [Video]

A late night Arby’s run turned into a full blown police investigation after a DoorDash driver was allegedly caught on camera spraying a customer’s food with a chemical substance believed to be pepper spray.

The incident happened in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, where a couple ordered food through DoorDash and later noticed something was seriously off. After taking a few bites, the woman reportedly began choking, coughing, and vomiting, prompting concern that the food had been tampered with. When her husband checked their doorbell camera footage, he saw the delivery driver place the bag down, take the required photo, and then appear to spray the bag before walking away.

Law enforcement was contacted, and the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office confirmed an active investigation. While authorities have not publicly confirmed the exact substance, they are treating the case as possible consumer product tampering, which is a felony under Indiana law. DoorDash responded by permanently banning the driver from the platform and stated they are cooperating with investigators.

This isn’t just about one disturbing delivery. It taps into a growing anxiety around app based convenience and the invisible trust customers place in strangers handling their food. We have seen past delivery horror stories go viral, but actual physical harm pushes this into a different category.
For now, the case remains under investigation.
