Dr Dre’s Eldest Daughter Says She Hasn’t Seen Him In 17 years

Dr. Dre‘s eldest daughter LaTanya Young reveals she has not seen or heard from her superstar father in 17 years.

According to The Daily Mail, the 37-year-old woman said that she desperately wants a relationship with the 55-year-old hip hop legend and insisted she doesn’t want anything from him except a father-daughter relationship, saying: “Money is not what I want, I feel better doing it on my own.”

LaTanya admits to feeling “displaced” by her father’s decade long absence from her life. “I really just want to have closure. I just want to be able to spend time with my father.”

LaTanya hoped her estrangement from her father would have ended once he and his wife Nicole filed for divorce, but she revealed she doesn’t even have a way to contact him. “I thought that after Nicole was out of the family, things would be better.”

The mother of four who lives in Victorville, California and works as a Fed Ex driver, said her father has never met any of her children or grandchildren. “I thought that my dad would come around. I would like him to make me feel like a daughter,” she said.
