Drake jokingly asks his native country of Canada for an outlandish request.

On Friday, Drake took to Instagram with a playful request, asking if it were possible for the nearby American city of Buffalo to be temporarily designated as a province for just one day. This way, his hometown friends who are unable to travel outside the country could attend his upcoming shows.

“@canada can we make Buffalo a province for a day so my friends that can’t travel can come see me perform…just this one time,” he wrote alongside a slew of photos from his tour featuring Lil Durk and J. Cole.

The tour, titled the “It’s All A Blur — Big As The What?”, is set to arrive in Buffalo next week, with consecutive dates on Tuesday and Wednesday at the KeyBank Center. The tour commenced earlier this month, following its announcement last November. As it stands, the tour is scheduled to continue until April, concluding in Denver.

Additionally, Drake has hinted at the possibility of expanding the tour globally, especially considering that only U.S. dates have been announced thus far.

“I think I’m going to tour in Europe,” he said last year. “Oh, that’s maybe an exclusive — yeah, oh, I’m definitely going on a Europe tour next year.”

During the opening show in Tampa, Drake seemed to aim a jab at Rihanna when he declined to perform their collaboration “Work.” Positioned in a flying cage as the song began, Drizzy addressed the audience, stating, “I don’t sing this song anymore. You can sing it for me.”

This incident follows Drake’s earlier apparent references to Rihanna, whom he was previously romantically associated with, on his For All the Dogs album released in October.
