Drake Fined $25,000 By The NBA For Shouting Out Kevin Durant (VIDEO)

Rappers can get fined by the NBA too, just ask Drake who got fined $25,000 for comments he made during his OVO Fest this weekend. While performing Drake took a break to shout out Thunder baller Kevin Durant who was in attendance. Before we leave, I just want to show one of my brothers something. You know, my brother Kevin Durant was kind enough to come to the show tonight and watch us. I just want him to see what would happen if he came to play in Toronto. Let him know what would happen.”

Well apparently, since Drake is an ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, that was a big no-no. According to the NBA, this was looked at as an attempt at recruiting and is a blatant violation of their anti-tampering rules. Better ask Jay Z about his $50,000 fine. The NBA doesn’t play!

Check out the video below courtesy of Real Talk Ny. Do you think Drake violated the rules?
