Drink Champs podcast has partnered with Warner Music Group in a new distribution deal.
On Friday, the podcast’s hosts DJ EFN and N.O.R.E announced that they had signed a distribution deal with WMG’s Interval Presents. The agreement states that WMG secured ownership of the “exclusive licensing rights to the audio version of the podcast” on all major platforms.
“I’m feeling good about partnering with Interval Presents and joining the all-star team they’ve got,” N.O.R.E. said. “We’re ready to take things to the next level for us and the culture at large! Let’s go!”
Drink Champs debuted in 2015 and has become one of the most-watched podcast series in hip-hop. Since its premiere, Drink Champs has seen many well-known celebrities stop by for a visit like Kanye West, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and more.
“Drink Champs has been at the forefront of cultural conversations for nearly a decade and has created some of the most iconic moments at the intersection of culture and music,” Allan Coye, General Manager of Interval Presents and WMG’s Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy & Business Development said.
He continued, “They’ve built an incredible platform that we’ve admired from afar, and now we’re incredibly excited to welcome them to Interval Presents. Our collaboration will focus on further amplifying N.O.R.E. and EFN’s unique and unfiltered approach to storytelling and bringing the show to new podcast listeners.”
Drink Champs’ first episode under the new distribution deal will premiere on January 27th.
