Eminem has a new Mrs. Slim Shady in his life, though he’s never actually met her.
A Florida woman is claiming to be married to the rap star and says he picks up her tab, but police aren’t buying it. The bizarre incident happened Monday at Darrell’s Dog Gone Good Diner in Silver Springs, Florida, when 54-year-old Jennifer Kleber reportedly ordered a full meal but refused to pay the $27.55 bill. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, diner staff recognized Kleber from previous visits where she also allegedly skipped out on paying.
When law enforcement arrived, Kleber offered a surprising explanation. She told a responding corporal that her “spouse” is none other than Eminem and that he would be handling the bill. She further insisted the rapper had covered her meal in the past, stating, “Em has unlimited money,” which is why she expected him to do it again.
Kleber, who only had ten dollars in her pocket, had eaten French toast, a bacon cheese sandwich, and drank both soda and chocolate milk, according to the report.
Officers were not swayed by her story. Kleber was arrested on the spot and charged with defrauding an innkeeper. She was later booked into the Marion County Jail.
Despite her claims, Eminem is not married. TMZ previously reported the Detroit rapper has been romantically linked to his longtime stylist, Katrina Malota.
