Eminem is being welcomed to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame along with some other eligible candidates. The 2022 Fame class includes Eminem, Lionel Richie, and Dolly Parton, though she asked not to be inducted.
John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, released a statement. “This diverse group of inductees each had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture and helped change the course of rock & roll. Their music moved generations and influenced so many artists that followed.”
Eminem came second in votes to be included in this year’s induction class at 685,000 votes.
The 2022 induction ceremony is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 5 in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theater. It will also be broadcast on SiriusXM’s Volume channel and air on HBO/HBO Max at a later date.
