Facebook Removed Video Of New Donald Trump Interview, “Content of the Voice of Donald Trump Will Be Removed”

Facebook removed a video of a new interview with Donald Trump, saying any content “in the voice of Donald Trump” would be removed from their platform.

According to Fox News, the interview conducted by Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, a Fox News contributor, was removed from the platform as per their ban of the former President after the Capitol riot on January 6th.

Lara Trump posted an image on Instagram from the interview, which showed her sitting across from her father-in-law, along with the caption “Join us tonight!” which included a web address to watch the interview directly.

An employee from Facebook reportedly sent an email to Trump officials warning them that any content posted on Facebook and Instagram “in the voice of President Trump is not currently allowed on our platforms (including new posts with President Trump speaking)” and the company also warned that the content “will be removed if posted, resulting in additional limitations on accounts that posted it.”

The interview was eventually posted to Lara Trump’s Facebook page defiantly, but it was later removed as promised.

“This guidance applies to all campaign accounts and Pages, including Team Trump, other campaign messaging vehicles on our platforms, and former surrogates,” the email from the Facebook employee stated, it was later posted on Instagram by Eric Trump.
