Family of Slain TikToker Swavy Wants Wendy Williams to Apologize for Insensitive Remarks

Wendy Williams has found herself in the hot seat once again. This time around, she made some insensitive comments about TikTok star Swavy, who was recently murdered.

During an episode of “The Wendy Williams Show,” the host made light of his murder and painted him in a bad light, and now Swavy’s mother and brother say she needs to apologize.

They feel Williams disrespected Swavy, TMZ reported. The outlet spoke with the mother, Chanell Clark, and Swavy’s brother Rahkim Clark on the issue. They had a problem with how Williams compared Swavy’s social media following to her own and said she used an unflattering picture of him when introducing him to the audience.

After the awkward introduction, she finally revealed to the audience that he had been killed.

Swavy’s family isn’t the only one upset over Williams’ antics. Others who watched the segment were also outraged by her comments on such a sensitive topic.

Swavy’s mother witnessed him getting shot in Delaware on Monday and was there with him as he took his last breaths.

The family rightfully wants an apology from the controversial host. Wendy has yet to respond to the backlash.
