Fans Are Upset Over Costly Adele Concert Resell Tickets, Reselling for Up to $35K

With the announcement of Adele making her way to Las Vegas, fans flocked to purchase tickets to see the “Hello” star perform live. Many, however, were faced with resell tickets costing as much as a down payment on a new home.

While presale tickets were more affordable, with options in the hundreds, they sold out within minutes, leaving fans to depend on resellers to get a seat at the Vegas residency. However, some privately-sold tickets were priced anywhere from $2,000 to $35,000.

Fans took to Twitter to express their dismay with the way resellers have grossly hiked the prices for the show.

If you bought the Adele tickets on Ticketmaster as a Verified fan just to flip & resell them for more money, I wish nothing but the worst for you! That’s was not the point of her trying to keep fans at getting tickets for an Honest Price.

In recent years, resell culture has come under intense scrutiny in nearly every aspect of life. The purchase of sneakers, concert tickets, clothing, and even PlayStation 5’s have been greatly impacted by shoppers who mass buy these goods and sell them for ridiculous prices. 

“Weekends with Adele” will begin on January 21st at Caesars Palace and run through April. The singer nor Ticket Master has responded to the resell crisis. It is unclear if they will be providing additional tickets for the highly anticipated concert series.
