Father Who Boarded School Bus to Curse Out School Kids Says Daughter Had Been Bullied and Jumped [Videos]

A Lousiville father who boarded a Jefferson County Public School bus and cursed out elementary school students is speaking out after a video of the incident went viral.

Tuesday, Delvantae King spoke out in an interview with WAVE3News, apologizing for his behavior.

“At the end of the day, I did act out of character,” he said.

He then goes into detail, claiming his child has been bullied since last year. King said that although notified, the school had not taken any action. He explained his daughter started getting bullied at the start of this school year by the same person and was even jumped on the school bus.

“The only reason any of this transpired is because of bullying,” he said about his actions.

The incident is currently under investigation, according to JCPS spokesperson Mark Hebert. Herbert also said LMPD is looking into the case and considering filing criminal charges.

Friday, Delvantae King was filmed on the bus threatening the students who he claimed hit his daughter.

“I’m gonna flip this whole bus and everybody on it!” he yells. “I mean that! I mean that! That goes for everybody on here!”

“I don’t give a f***. Touch my daughter again, and I’m going to flip this whole bus.”

Video then shows a man, believed to be the bus driver trying to escort the man off the bus. The man and his daughter then reportedly got in another vehicle and followed the bus along its route. Some students reported seeing the man brandishing a gun while following the bus.

Louisville Metro Police Department and JCPS Security were both notified and the bus driver was told to drive back to the school without making any stops.
