Following his arrest in East Texas on multiple drug-related charges, Finesse2Tymes took to Instagram and claimed that fellow rapper MoneyBagg Yo played a role in his situation. The comments shifted attention away from the charges themselves and toward simmering tension between the two artists.
According to the Rusk County inmate database, Finesse2Tymes, born Ricky Hampton, was arrested on Thursday, January 15. He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a prohibited substance or item in a correctional facility, and possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2. He has since been released.
Not long after getting out, Finesse2Tymes went public with his frustration. In an Instagram Story, he wrote, “Bagg put the police on me. Yall be wanting me to stay in jail so bad. I don’t carry nun but some Za and a yerk or 2. Yaw Nygas some real haters.
The post immediately sparked conversation online, with fans debating whether the claim was real or simply a heat-of-the-moment emotion.
He did not stop there. In a follow-up post, the rapper doubled down, writing, “And bagg u know I know the truth [100 emoji]. Yo cousin Big homie g name BEEN in the paper work GOT THE DAMO MAN REAL TIME and yall swept ts under the rug so quit speakin on rats and u wit one.” The statement escalated the situation, bringing accusations of cooperation and paperwork into the mix without offering public evidence.
While Finesse2Tymes focused his energy on MoneyBagg Yo, he also shared emotional posts about his girlfriend, FNG Shugga, who remains jailed on a $526,000 bond. Still, it was his direct words toward MoneyBagg Yo that became the headline, turning a legal update into a full-blown rap world moment that fans are watching closely.
