Five Teen Girls Climb Apartment Fire Escape To Steal Cash, Michael Kors Purse, Jewelry, and More

The New York Police Department is searching for five teenage girls accused of breaking into a Bronx apartment by climbing up the building’s fire escape.

The NYPD released an 18-second video clip from last Sunday night showing the teens trying to access a building’s fire escape near Sheridan Avenue and East 168th Street in the Concourse Village section of the borough. The girls are described as being between 16 and 18-years-old, CBS New York reports.

Authorities said the girls used the fire escape to break in through a bedroom window. They allegedly stole $500 in cash, a Michael Kors purse, jewelry, and a credit card. No one was hurt during the commission of the robbery.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477 or for Spanish, dial 1-888-577-4782.
