Florida woman is accused of using a rented home in Miami to operate and manage a brothel.
This past Wednesday, 27-year-old Leidy Nayibe Cabrera-Gomez was arrested for renting a home in Miami Gardens and using it for a brothel. According to a police report, Cabrera-Gomez was caught after police were sent to the home after Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office Human Trafficking Task Force called a cell phone number that was listed on an adult website known for hosting ads for prostitution and sex work services.
When police arrived at the home, Cabrera-Gomez met one of the cops and led him to a bedroom where another female was waiting, Local10 news reports. Sex toys, lubricants and other sex-related items were also in the room.
The women offered to have sex with the cop for $200. After the fake deal between the woman and the cop was made, the cop called waiting officers waiting to come into the home.
Cabrera-Gomez was taken into custody and could be facing a slew of charges, including deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution, unlawful use of a communications device, renting a space for prostitution, maintaining a house of prostitution and engaging in prostitution.
