Trouble outside the ring is catching up to Floyd Mayweather.

The undefeated boxing legend is facing a lawsuit from the owners of his former luxury rental at the Baccarat Hotel and Residences in Midtown Manhattan. According to a New York State court filing, Mayweather is accused of breaching his lease and leaving behind a major unpaid balance tied to the high-end property.

The lawsuit was filed by a company connected to the unit and claims Mayweather owes more than $330,000 in unpaid rent and damages. The Real Deal first reported the filing earlier this month.

Mayweather reportedly began renting the duplex in 2024 for $100,000 per month. The unit spans the 18th and 19th floors of the Baccarat tower and includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a massive wraparound balcony overlooking West 53rd Street.

Court documents state that Mayweather stopped paying rent in July 2025. By the time he vacated the property in December, the alleged balance had climbed past $515,000, factoring in unpaid rent and additional costs.

The filing claims Mayweather agreed to a settlement that required him to clear the debt by early December. However, that agreement allegedly fell apart when payments were not completed. Pulse International Realty agent Rena Kliot stated Mayweather “only paid one of the five months of rent.”

As of now, the lawsuit claims Mayweather owes $337,736, plus interest, fees, and attorneys’ costs.

The unit is owned by a limited liability company tied to Miami-based entrepreneurs David and Leila Centner. Kliot confirmed the apartment is currently vacant and being restaged, including its 4,000 square foot balcony.

The property is expected to be relisted this spring, either for sale between $22 million and $24 million or as a rental for approximately $150,000 per month.

Representatives for Mayweather did not respond to requests for comment. The plaintiffs’ attorney, Marc Scolnick of Scolnick Law, declined to comment further on the filing involving Floyd Mayweather.
