Future Earns Platinum Status For “DS2”

Congrats are in order for Future Hendrix! Future has finally earned platinum status for his solo project “DS2.”

The RIAA announced Wednesday that Future’s third solo LP, “DS2”, has been certified platinum. It’s the first platinum album of Future’s career. Future and Drake’s joint project “What A Time To Be Alive” went certified platinum back in March.

When the album debuted back in July of 2015 it sold 147,000 copies in its first week, doubling the sales he did with his first two albums respectively, “Pluto” and “Honest”. The album featured hits like “Where Ya At” featuring Drake, “Commas” and “Trap N****s,” and famed producer Metro Boomin.
