FX Show “Atlanta” Will End After Upcoming 4th Season; Season 3 & 4 will Both Air This Year

The Hit TV show “Atlanta” will soon air seasons 3 and 4 this year, but sadly, the 4th season will bring the show to an end.

Donald Glover’s series, which airs on the network FX, will end this fall. The third season is set to premiere next month, REVOLT reported.

“The fourth and final season is slated to debut in the same manner this fall,” FX Chairman John Landgraf said during an FX executive session on Thursday. “The new season is everything you’ve come to expect from ‘Atlanta’ which is to say, expect the unexpected. Sit back and enjoy the trip.”

The Emmy-award-winning show will return on FX March 24, and for fans of the show, the first two episodes of season 3 will air.

The company’s Entertainment President Eric Schrier released a statement last year, saying, “We are thrilled to have ‘Atlanta’ back, with a new season on March 24th,” he said at the time. “Once again, Donald Glover, the producers, and stellar cast have delivered another signature season synonymous with the excellence that makes ‘Atlanta’ so great.”

Season three was filmed and took place in Europe.

Taking place almost entirely in Europe, Season 3 finds Earn (Donald Glover), Alfred / Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield), and Van (Zazie Beetz) in the midst of a successful European tour, as the group navigates their new surroundings as outsiders and struggle to adjust to the newfound success they had aspired to,” a synopsis reads.

There will be ten episodes in season 3, which all episodes will air on Hulu the day after it airs on broadcast tv. Its 4th season will reportedly return to Atlanta, but a premiere date for the final season has been released.
