Jamie Foxx & Garcelle Beauvais

Garcelle Beauvias Recalls Gladys Knight Catching Her And Jamie Foxx Kissing Backstage: “I Remember Being So Embarrassed” [Video]

Garcelle Beauvais reveals that Gladys Knight caught her and Jamie Foxx secretly sharing a kiss.

Garcelle recently appeared on ‘Uncensored: Unscripted’ where she shared that the legendary singer busted her and Jamie kissing during the wake of their rumored relationship.

In a snippet of the episode, Garcelle recalled the moment that she deems as “embarrassing.”

“I knew Jamie from ‘In Living Color,’ and our chemistry was through the roof,” she says. “We did steal a kiss one time backstage. Gladys Knight came around the corner, and she saw us. And I remember being so embarrassed, but that was a one-time thing.”

Garcelle and Jamie never officially dated out of respect for their right friendship. In April, Garcelle told Access Hollywood, “I love him so much [but] had we had something back in the day, we wouldn’t be the friends we are now.”

She added, “I’ve seen him grow into this amazing man, this amazing father. He’s really great.”

According to Essence magazine, Garcelle and Jamie were planning to start a romantic relationship after ‘The Jamie Foxx Show’ ended in 2001. Unfortunately, by that time, Garcelle had already entered another relationship.

Nevertheless, that did not stop Jamie. In a 2020 episode of ‘Going To Bed With Garcelle,’ Jamie expressed his thoughts on their relationship.

“I think me and you should have been together,” he said. “So every time I see [a man she’s dating], I’m like, ‘Damn. I f*cked up.’ So every dude, I give them a really sh*tty look.”
