Georgia Authorities Investigates Two Drownings At Lake Lanier

Georgia authorities are investigating two drownings that took place at Lake Lanier over the holiday weekend.

According to WSBTV, a 59-year-old man jumped off the boat and in the lake on Friday at the Duckett Mill campground. He never resurfaced. Hall County Fire Department recovered the man’s body.

The victim was identified as Bruce Lee Hild.

A second man drowned on Saturday around 12:30p.m. The 45-year-old unidentified man went swimming and never resurfaced. His body was recovered by another swimmer, according to a spokesman with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
